Clinic Communications have significantly changed since COVID-19. They have put strict measures that have been put in place to access entry into the Clinic Facility and screening before entry into the facility is a must. Wearing of face masks, washing hands and using hand sanitisers has become a “prevention requirement.” In some hospitals/clinics a “wet disinfected rug” is put on the entry to step-on.

Hospital and clinic visitations have been “curtailed”. One or two people per patient are allowed at a time. In certain cases, you only talk with the guardian. The messages that are being posted are loud and clear, visible for everyone to read to access clinical services.

My Clinic did not communicate with me either through SMS or WhatsApp before COVID-19. My normal routine to seek Clinical Services is to go personally.

My Clinic does not have “structures for support groups” that are supported through the facility.

My regular Clinical Consultations are done personally. I have to go to the clinic. This routine has continued even during COVID-19. To minimize these visits, I collected my ARVs for six (6) months.
