COVID has changed a lot of things about how the clinic communicates. Because no gatherings are allowed people now gather in different places. Health services have changed and reduced. My clinic never used SMS or WhatsApp to communicate before COVID-19, it was direct communication only.
Since COVID health assistance and other health providers send health messages to the community using text messages, SMS, WhatsApp and posters at the clinic.
When we go to the clinic, we follow the COVID-19 prevention measures like wearing masks and washing hands with soap. No virtual consultations are done. We have to go to the clinic for health services but people do not want to go to the clinic because we fear getting the COVID-19 disease.
Before COVID my clinic had in-person support groups for HIV positive people. They have continued by now we are using our phones.
