Communication with my health providers have not changed, the pharmacy calls me monthly to confirm my medicine delivery, then a few days later I get a confirmation from the courier company that it has been dispatched.
The only thing that is more apparent now is that virtual consultations are available, but I still need to come in for blood tests when required.
I’m sure my healthcare provider does offer support groups, but I do not attend any, so I’m not sure if there are any changes. I will try to find out about my next physical appointment.
If you have any symptoms of COVID, consultations are done virtually, however, blood tests still need to be done physically.
Virtual consultations are done using Dr Connect, now called Discovery Primary Care. You book an appointment, then you have a nurse or Dr accepts. You go to the virtual consultation room and you advise what is going on. If more tests are needed, you have to in for a physical consultation.
