My life has been very hard when I first knew that I was HIV positive. So many things have happened. Some people would stigmatize me, like I said, a lot has happened. At one point l signed up to take a loan and people said that this one has a virus so when will he repay back his loan and I was denied a loan. Some of my relatives who l was comfortable with and shared my status were also telling other people that l am HIV positive and that they should not associate with me as l will infect them. And even if l have a girlfriend they would tell them and that was going on for a long time and then my friend told me “some of your relatives are disclosing to people your HIV status” but l just remained calm because l do not mind what other people say and l do not really mind. But our biggest problem is that we are usually stigmatized in so many ways but now we are so happy that since your coming we are building resilience.
