I am Shazam and I have 3 children. This is how l got infected with HIV. I was married and when I met my husband I already had 1 child. So we decided to have another child and I got pregnant. I started ante-natal clinic visits at Dedza and that is when I knew I had AIDS when l got tested.

It was difficult for me to accept this because I would frequently get tested for HIV on my own and l was always negative. So I could not comprehend the time they told me I was HIV positive. After some time, I accepted my situation and started taking ARV drugs so that my unborn child should not be infected. By the grace of God, my child was born without the virus.
