Malawi

My name is Valkryie and I am 47 years old. I am a Malawian with three sons. My home Village is in Ngozi TA Chiwere in Dowa District. I married early due to the problem of poverty as I was coming from a poor family. My husband divorced me, so by that time I had nothing to do and because of financial problems, I joined sex work. I started sleeping with different people and because of this, I found that I am HIV positive and in 2005 I started my ART treatment.

As a PLWHIV my journey was not easy. I face so much stigma. My relatives were evil telling me that am dying, and I was so confused. So it isn’t easy. But still, I just thank God for keeping me till now am healthy and alive.
